The 17th of October has been proclaimed as the International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. This was agreed at the 42nd General Conference of UNESCO. The Department of Culture, Communications and Sport will mark this International Day throughout the month of October through a social media campaign to highlight Ireland’s rich tapestry of intangible cultural heritage. Ireland’s National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage and the process to apply for inscription will also be highlighted through the Department’s social media platforms.
